King Kong (1933)

"Don't be alarmed, ladies and gentlemen. Those chains are made of chrome steel." - Carl Denham

We're all familiar with classic romantic comedy format, boy meets girl, boy verbally abuses girl, 50 foot ape God absconds with girl and the ape gets shot down by biplanes. Right? At any rate most people are familiar with the image of a giant gorilla climbing the Empire State Building with a blonde woman grasped in his fist like a rag doll. Up next, Martin and Melinda watch King Kong (1933) for the first time ever and marvel at the historical/technological advances made in what might be one of the first major blockbuster films reviewed on Frightfully Uninformed. This movie truly is tons of fun. Get it...because of the giant gorilla monster.
